Mont Tremblant is in the Laurentians, Quebec. It is a vast area of coniferous forest dotted with hundreds of tranquil lakes and scored with rivers. During the winter months it is acknowledged as being a major ski resort; it has been voted the number one ski resort in Eastern North America for the last 11 years. Mont Tremblant comprises 3 districts: the main pedestrianised resort; the village of Mont Tremblant and the commercial centre- the delightful town of St Jovite. Nearby is the National Park of Tremblant; a large wilderness where bears, deer and moose can be seen.
Our house is situated on the quiet Chemin du Lac Mercier which runs along side Lac Mercier. It is a 5 minute drive from the quaint village of Mont Tremblant or a 30 minute walk along the P’tit Train du Nord.
The area of Mont Tremblant offers a wide range of activities. In the winter there is skiing (downhill and cross country),dog sledding, snowmobiling and in the summer loads of water activities, cycling, trekking and 6 top class golf courses. Just a few miles from our house is the popular Spa Nature Le Scandinave.
Mont Tremblant is a 90 minute drive from Montreal and about 2 hours from Ottawa.
